Ayesha Curry’s The Seasoned Life: First Recipe Test!

I love cookbooks! I wouldn’t say I’m a terrible cook or anything, I’m fairly good at experimenting with flavours and coming up with meals off the top of my head. However, there’s something satisfying and rewarding about picking up a cookbook, slowly flipping through the pages and following each step. The feeling of whether or not it will turn out like the picture or taste just as good and that rewarding moment when it turns out successful.

I’ve already spent my morning with a breakfast perfect for this fall season. Ayesha’s Apple-Cinnamon Oatmeal. It fills my kitchen with an apple pie scent, but can be pretty healthy, especially if you use almond milk as I did.

I’m looking forward to trying out more recipes from this book and blogging about my experience, Julie and Julia style.
